Habit Appliance

A habit appliance is useful to help stop a thumb or finger habit if your child is having difficulty on their own. Placing an appliance can help to minimize the harm and distortion the habits can have on the teeth and bone.

Space Maintenance

Baby teeth act as a guide for the eruption of the permanent teeth. Space maintainers are necessary when a baby tooth is extracted to keep adjacent teeth from drifting into the empty space. A space maintainer is made of stainless steel and is cemented to the tooth adjacent to the space (non-removable).
